Shame is the word my Surrey clients use most — shame about the divorce, about what the community will say, sometimes about who they love. I'm an EMDR-trained counsellor serving South Asian and LGBTQ+ clients in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and English. EMDR lets us work through the sharpest memories without retelling them endlessly, which many clients find is what finally lets them sleep. Sessions are $160–$190, and everything you share stays in the room.
